RC9394 are happy to release a new line of option parts for the Team Associated TC6 line of touring cars. First up are the double joint CVD drive shafts that minimise the vibration and wheel chatter at high steering angles. They are made from high-quality spring steel and come with spring retainer clips and bearings. Also available for the TC6 are body support posts that are simply slipped over the stock body posts and secured with a body clip. They make for an improved body fit and better transmission of the downforce created by the body shell. The supports are also available for Tamiya and Xray body post diameter.

The DEST210 Race Ready RTR from Team Durango is an out-of-the box racing Stadium Truck. After months of development and testing, they are proud to bring you their Race Ready RTR 2WD off-road Stadium Truck. Complete with Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and 13.5 brushless motor from World Champions ‘Speed Passion’, Team Durango’s RTR DEST210 is ready to race, and win, from the moment you take it out of the box. Team Durango Race Ready RTR trucks are an ideal introduction into the amazing and exciting hobby of RC car racing.

The HPI Plazma range of battery packs is growing with the release of this new pack. Fitting within all accepted maximum pack sizes, allowing it to fit in any competition touring car, buggy, short course truck and other types of racing car, the 95C power rating will give you plenty of acceleration while the 6500mAh rating will allow you to fully utilise the power of the pack throughout a 5-minute race. It also features a real Dean’s connector and a universal balancing plug for simple maintenance. For charging your LiPo batteries with complete confidence there is the new HPI Plazma Pouch LiPo safe case. The case is flameproof and provides superior protection for your pit area and home from overcharged or damaged batteries.

Tresrey announce the Speed Passion Reventon Pro brushless speed controller. The competition ESC is designed for 2S LiPo use with down to 3.5T 540-size motors, it features a 6V/3A BEC system and sports dimensions of 35x40x20mm. It comes with a machined case that incorporates cooling fins and the controller accepts sensor and sensorless motors. The speedo becomes available in September in laser blue and gun metal colour and will include a programming card to adjust the software parameters.

T-Work’s introduce this special 5x10x4mm Hyspin bearing for the use with 1/8th GP buggy clutch bells. The ABEC5 grade bearings feature a special nylon retainer to keep the inner balls in place to let the bearing handle high RPM and high loads better than bearings of a standard design. They come with a silicone seal on one side for easier cleaning and a steel seal on the other side for less friction to create a ball race of maximum performance.

Serpent introduce the 46T, 48T and 50T composite material spur gears for the Cobra-E 1/8th electric off-road buggy. They feature a steel insert moulded in into the gear to maximize precision and durability. The lightweight gears improve acceleration, are more silent and come including gasket and hardware.

JConcepts Finnisher for Xray XB9

Further expanding their line of Finnisher bodies, JConcepts have made their popular body shell available for the Xray XB9. Increased windshield angle provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps while the forward cab placement changes performance / visible bias which helps steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have a strong and chiseled look, including a recessed area in the rear which allows another option for air-escape. The chassis side-guard to body fit has been tightened up which helps eliminate large empty voids that contribute to mid-flight directional changes. The area behind the cab has been greatly lowered exposing more of the engine heat-sink allowing more heat-escape while the V-stepped feature which is a highlighted styling cue of the Finnisher buggy bodies has been incorporated toward the rear and allows an additional area that can be trimmed to allow air-flow through the body.

Tamiya 417X ‘Reedy Race’ chassis

To commemorate Viktor Wilck’s win at the Reedy Invitational touring car race in May, Tamiya have released a limited edition (200pcs) version of the TRF417X called the TRF417X Reedy Race. A small update from the original car it has been altered to help improve the low speed traction so it features an updated chassis and top deck. Also the shock towers have been made from 3.5mm thick carbon fibre and feature shock mounting holes that allow for a more precise setting change. The battery mount has been made of metal to increase weight low down and it will be supplied with front and rear gear diffs. Finally it comes with chrome and blue Tamiya decals.

Roche have introduced two new items for touring car, the first is this set of aluminium body height adjuster, the idea for which came from factory driver Elliott Harper. The adjuster makes it easier to adjust the height of the body shell, from 0-5mm. There is a 1mm o-ring inside the adjuster so that it will not change height during use. Three colours are available, blue, purple & titanium, to suit all cars with a 6mm body post. Also new for the Tamiya TRF417 is an aluminum anti-roll bar mount. CNC-machined from 6061 T6 aluminium, the roll-bar is centered by a 4mm rod stopper and the tension on the roll bar is adjusted by the 3mm set screw on both sides of the holder. With perfect alignment and a harder material than the original plastic material mounts, the roll bar will always function freely.

Akula Racing AKX2 Thresher conversion kit

Akula Racing have announced the AKX2 Thresher chassis conversion kit for the Ansmann X2C and Teacm C TC02C kits. The kit replaces the three-piece moulded plastic chassis with a 3mm thick 6082 aluminium chassis. This is fitted with carbon fibre side plates to control the flex, this gives the option to tune the chassis flex by changing the height of these from the chassis, the higher they are the stiffer the chassis becomes. The main benefit from a one piece aluminium chassis over the moulded plastic on the X2C/TC02C is that it has much more consistent and controllable flex which improves steering response, gives more overall grip, greater consistency and even better rear traction.
