The ProTek Prodigy 620 Duo is a multi-chemistry charger with two independent 400 watt channels, each with its own independent control panel, blue backlit LCD display, balance ports and sensor ports. It can charge LiPo, LiFe, or Li-Ion batteries up to 6S, 15-cell NiCd or NiMH batteries, and lead-acid batteries up to 20V. With the ability to fast charge, balance charge, and storage charge lithium cells, you can easily tailor the charge process to suit your needs, while individual cell voltage can be monitored during balance mode charging, allowing you to identify an imbalance in the cells and spot a weak cell before it becomes a problem. Other features include a dual-fan cooling system that utilises a push-pull design that will keep the charger cool, even when working at maximum capacity.

Having shown you the Pro Truggy A-main yesterday, today it is the turn of the Pro Buggy final. Ty Tessmann would once again take the win, but first would have to fend off Ryan Cavalieri and then a fast charging Ryan Maifield before pulling out almost a lap lead on 2nd place to take the victory. Check out the video above of the entire Pro Buggy final, shot late at night at the Fear Farm Raceway in Arizona.

Exotek have introduced the F1 Ultra, the next evolution in their F1 line of chassis for the F103. Based on the hugely successful F1R, the F1ultra has been refined for the Tamiya F103 and benefits greatly from its wider track and shorter wheelbase and works equally well on foam or rubber tires. Features include link type rear pod for exceptional rear grip, optimized for use with 7.4v shorty packs, inline or laterally, for a more compact and lighter car and the bottom plate only design helps generate more steering response. This coupled with the increased rear traction creates an overall better handling car. A unicrank steering assembly gives smoother steering and a lower center of gravity at the nose to reduce traction roll.

The Duratrax 12-tip multi-driver tool stores six double-ended tool bits in the handle and does the work of a dozen different drivers with just one handy tool. The machined, anodized aluminum handle is hex-shaped to resist rolling and improve grip. The end cap rotates to select the preferred bit. Bit length is adjustable, so the modeler can shorten it for more torque or lengthen it for greater reach.

Team Durango release new option parts for the DEX410 and ’408 line of 4WD off-road vehicles. Made for the DEX410 line of cars is the aluminium servo saver arm that replaces the stock plastic part with a CNC-machined and hard anodised aluminium version. The part offers increased strength over the kit item and is a direct replacement. The other new parts are volume compensating foams for the ’408 line of electric and nitro off-road buggies. The foam is designed to be fitted above the shock diaphragm inside the shock cap and is intended to be used in conjunction with the company’s vented shock caps and offers additional support to the diaphragm when used with the vented caps. The compensators can also be used with the stock shock caps for increased rebound characteristics and extra tuning possibilities.

Novak release two new brushless controller and motor combos based on the GTB 2 X-Drive and the company’s Ballistic competition BL motors. The GTB 2 X-Drive is a sensor-based controller for top-level non-timing racing, and sport a low-profile heat sink, Novak’s X-Drive firmware for improved throttle feel, smooth braking and cooler running temperatures as well as build-in low-voltage protection for LiPo and LiFe battery packs. The combo sets are available with a Ballistic 8.5T or 17.5T “blinky” class sensored brushless motor.

Current American 2WD Buggy Champion Dustin Evans is to contest the rest of the inaugural TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series presented by Horizon Hobby.
