Kyosho’s Mini-Z brushless conversion set 8500kV allows to easily convert brushed motor Mini-Z buggies to brushless power. The set includes a Speed House XSpeed 85 8500kV brushless motor as well as a new power board, developed in cooperation with Scorpion Power System, with the actual swap being basically a plug and play, however it requires to solder the battery wires. The powerful motor allows for much greater speeds compared to the standard brushed motor while being more efficient at the same time.
Available now from Trinity are their new 30mm and 40mm aluminium fan units. The fans utilise machined aluminium cases in a heatsink design which allows for additional cooling surface when directly coupled to motor or speed controller cans or cases. The 30mm fan is of a 2-tone black and blue design while the 40mm unit comes in a black and silver finish. Both utilise all-black wires for a stealthy factory look.
Team Zombie have introduced their new Evo 540-size brushless motor. It features a unique 1-piece aluminium can that covers most of the stator, however it leaves open the large alloy insulator which ensures improved overall cooling. The endbell also sports cooling openings to further improve airflow through the can especially when used in 4WD off-road classes. A new stator design optimised the power curve, making it more linear which is essential for a more connected throttle feeling. The motor weighs in at around 150g, making it not the lightest, however with modern mid-motor touring cars being in need of weight…
Hudy have introduced their new professional 17mm bulkhead alignment tool for the Xray T4 2020 touring car. The alignment tool is placed between the left and right bulkhead using the included steel shafts. With the block and pins in place the driver can loosen and retighten both the lower bulkhead mounting screws and also the upper clamps and shock towers for perfect alignment of all parts. After all the parts are straightened up, the pins and block will be removed, the diff or spool installed and the bulkhead upper clamps installed. The result is a more efficiently running drivetrain and…
Schumacher have officially unveiled their new Cat L1 Evo 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. The buggy maintains the successful, unique mid motor belt drive system, but includes several new features developed by the Schumacher international racing team. Such as wider 5mm drive belts, S2 shock towers and side rails, thicker diff shims, a new bodyshell and wing mounts, plus many more features like a pocketed 7075-T6 aluminium chassis with removable carbon fibre trays for the electronics. These improvements add to the proven durability, ease of maintenance, and on track performance of the buggy. The kit will hit stores this December.
Bittydesign have introduced their new Vision body shell for the SWorkz S35-3 1/8th scale buggy. The shell features a new cabin design for increased corner speeds while the roof and slightly angled rear area design ensure a perfectly blended balance. The rear side flaps of the futuristically shaped body improve airflow towards the rear wing, ensuring optimised downforce and thus quicker lap times. The body comes pre-cut including the outer cutting lines and body clip holes, it is made of 1mm genuine Lexan material and includes window masks and a decal sheet.
Mon-Tech Racing from Italy have introduced their all-new 308TCR body shell for 1/10th scale FWD touring cars. The ETS-approved body shell is modelled after a popular French compact car and it sports a large front splitter for high corner speeds, sculptured fenders for looks and downforce as well as a wide rear wing for optimised overall balance. Included with the Italian-made body shell, that is moulded from lightweight 0.75mm high-quality polycarbonate, come window masks as well as a large decal sheet with grille and light details as well as the graphic elements visible in the images above and below.
Coming from JConcepts is the authentic Team Associated RC10GT truck body shell, a vintage product that used the genuine Team Associated mold. When Team Associated decided to pull the trigger and build a 1/10th gas truck, they went all-the-way. In the process, a whole new class was ignited and the RC10GT was born. One of the most sought-after looks in the vintage RC community is the look of a stadium truck from the 1990’s and racers love the GT. There might have been no better look than the RC10T and RC10GT during the golden age of stadium truck and the…
Futaba have announced the soon release of their new 7PXR 7-channel top of the food chain radio system. Based off of the popular 7PX the R variant features several updates such as new home and menu buttons, an optimised weight balance for effortless handling even during long mains, and new carbon-reinforced steering and rear housing parts. By the use of red-anodised aluminium screws the weight was further reduced – and visual impact greatly improved – while a new-shape throttle trigger and brake lever improve the throttle and brake feeling. An “R” specific display design and background colour function as well…
Coming from Fenix Racing is their new, fully-licensed Classic Team Lotus 78 body shell for 1/10th formula pan cars. The Lotus 78, in the iconic black and golden livery, was used during the 1977 and 1978 Formula 1 seasons, being the first Formula 1 car utilising ground effect technology. The new body, developed with full support of Classic Team Lotus, depicts the car used by Mario Andretti to win the 1978 World Championship. The body is fitting Tamiya F103 and F104 chassis as well as all cars of similar layout and dimensions with Fenix working on their own chassis to…
