JConcepts TLR 22 Punisher body

Written by Administrator

The Punisher body by JConcepts for the TLR 22 is the meanest, nastiest thing out for 1/10th buggy racing. The slight cab-forward treatment is amongst the most aggressive in class giving the Punisher top notch performance. Blended wing / body design gives additional down-force to the side-pods and windshield which increases driveability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/10th buggy racing featuring a rear scoop allowing additional tune-ability and cooling for high-performance racing. The Punisher body includes both cut-lines so the user can trim to either rear or mid motor chassis configurations. In addition to the newly designed body JConcepts has included 2 of the popular 6.5″ wide high down force V-wings that are commonly used around the world.

Answer RC lightweight locking wheel nuts

Written by Administrator

The new lightweight locking wheel nuts from Answer RC are now available. Designed to offer the best of both worlds, security and performance, the security aspect is two fold. Firstly the have a knurled section machined into the back of the nut to allow it to lock onto the wheel and secondly the nuts come with O Rings that seat into the back of the nut to secure the nut against the wheel stub axle and prevent vibration loosening. The nuts come with 8 o-rings giving you a complete spare set. The nuts are machined away on the faces and drilled into to save weight and as with any closed cap wheel nut, knowing that the stub axle will not get mangled up is always a welcome benefit. Available in red and black in both 1.0mm and 1.25mm threads.

Race report by Jason Nugroho

Round 1 of the Indonesia National Truggy Championship was held on March 20, 2011 at Graha Raya Bintaro, Tangerang (about 45km from the center of Jakarta city). There were a total 16 racers. The race format was 3 rounds of 10min qualifying, using the “1 best round” system and two groups of finals (A-B) with 5 drivers bumping up.

After qualifying I was in 2nd place out of the 16 racers. I went into the 45min A-final and started 2nd on the grid. As usual, my car got hit by other cars in the final round and dropped me back to 10th place.

This time it was not so easy to take back the lead since the track was not so big. I pushed my car very hard until I got a best lap at 36.817sec – about 2.5sec faster than my previous best lap of 39.217sec in the qualifying round. I got into 2nd place around 3 minutes before the end of the race, but something happened at the last moment with my car flipping at the last corner before the timing loop and this made me finish in 3rd place.

A-final results after 45min race :

1. Adrian

2. Febril

3. Jason Nugroho – XRAY XT8
