FinRC have just put their videos from the 4wd A-mains at the Electric offroad Worlds Warmup in Vaasa, Finland online, which we have embedded above and below. Enjoy.

CSO Products have released some new parts for different cars in the Xray range as well as the Tamiya touring chassis. Firstly for the Xray T3 & T2, there is a pair of hard coated steel 52mm swing shafts. These are also available for the Tamiya TRF417 & 416 in 44mm versions. For the RX8 there is a pair of hard coated steel rear wheel axles, which have been lightened and come with wheel nuts for a secure and more true wheel mounting, but can also be used with the standard quick release levers. Finally for the RX8 are some lightened 6mm and 8mm aluminium collars for the middle and gearbox shafts.

Xray have produced these CNC-machined rear CVD drive shafts for their RX8 1/8th scale chassis. Made from Hudy spring steel, they have been hand ground for maximum precision, then individually measured and inspected.

Starting from this week, Novarossi’s 35 Plus 21 and the Kangaroo .21 SYDWC engine will come with an upgraded cooling head. The upgraded heads are the same that are used on the previous .21 Flash engines, featuring drilled holes and 6 cuts to reduce the overall weight. Because the cooling head is mounted relatively hight, any reduction in weight for this part significantly helps lower the CofG.

The opening round of the BRCA TC Nationals was last weekend in West London and RC Racing TV made this full report, as they will from all rounds of this year’s series, It includes features, analysis interviews and race action from both classes, Super Touring and 10.5, at an event that attracts the cream of Touring Car talent.

Much More have released their Vega LiPo battery series, developed to be low cost and easy to use. The discharge rate is modest, but these packs give a good amount of power. Featuring a hard case and bullet connectors, there is a 5000mAh 30C stick pack and a 3800mAh 25C saddle pack.

Capricorn have released a whole bunch of new options for their LAB C801 and C01 chassis’. First up is rear flex system for the C801 which allows the rear of the car’s radio plate to flex separately from the radio plate mounting bracket giving more overall grip. This can be used with the optional full flex radio plate to give more steering and which was used by Dario Balestri to take 3rd place at last month’s World Championships. Also for the C801, something taken from the C01, is the new front anti-roll bar system that allows you to use a wire in place of the regular blade system. The wire is available in 3 different diameters, 1.3mm, 1.5mm and 1.7mm. For the C01 200mm chassis there is new ultra lightweight spring steel wheel axles that use the traditional nut mounting for the wheel. Also for that car, with some parts fitting the NT1, is a range of plastic parts that have been made in a new white plastic compound for a longer life. The parts include shock caps, ball joints and more.

GH Racing have introduced a number of new tools beginning with their aluminium hex wrench III. Made from 6061 billet aluminium, it uses a one way bearing that grips the supplied 17mm and 23mm steel hex sockets and depending on the side used, will tighten or loosen the nut. The other end of the flywheel can also be used to firmly grab a flywheel. GH also have an additional 24mm hex socket for this wrench which works with the HPI Baja buggy. Other new tools include a set of 3 mini turnbuckle wrenches that have been made from aluminium and come supplied in 3/16, 1/4 & 11/32 sizes. A similar set, which includes 4 pieces, comes with a 4.5mm, 5.0mm, 5.5mm & 7.0mm wrench.

More new products from Pro-Line starting with their new Scrubs 2.2” 4WD buggy front tires. Designed specifically for wet/dry clay and hard packed tracks, the Scrubs front tire offers improved steering, handling and forward traction. Featuring an angled bar design for tons of side bite, as well as a V-pin design which will make your buggy track straight as an arrow they are offered in M3, M4 and MC compounds to meet all your track needs. Also new from Pro-Line is a brand new 6 ½” high downforce wing design to fit on all popular 1:10 off-road 2WD and 4WD buggies. Wings significantly affect how your buggy handles in the air and during high-speed/low-speed sections of the track. This wing features Pro-Line’s Smooth Flow Technology, a deck section on the wing that can be cut out allowing air to flow around effortlessly and reducing drag. Track testing has proven this wing to smooth out the handling of twitchy 1:10 buggies, which results in fewer mistakes and faster lap times. Sold in a 2 pack.

Xray have released these foam inserts for their 1/8th off road shocks that go between the shock upper mount and rubber membrane. The foam prevents membrane collapse and gives slightly more steering and more stability when landing from big jumps. Sold in a complete set of 4.
